my story
Hey, I’m Benjamin.
I’ve faced intense feelings of dysphoria for years, but the gym has been a crucial part of my path to self-acceptance. I started working out at 16 and quickly fell in love with it. Watching countless fitness videos and steadily building strength became more than just a hobby—it was a lifeline.
However, my journey hasn’t been without its challenges. After years of progress, I faced severe anxiety and depression, which led me to step away from the gym for nearly two years. During this time, I focused on my mental health and gradually returned to working out. It was also during this period that I realized I was transgender, and everything began to fall into place. Understanding that I could transform into the person I’ve always wanted to be provided me with renewed motivation. The gym became an essential tool in managing my dysphoria and seeing my true self in the mirror, even before starting hormone replacement therapy.
Since beginning testosterone in April 2024, my motivation has increased, and I’ve made even more progress. Though I’m still early in my transition, the lessons I’ve learned have been invaluable. I’ve faced various challenges—navigating locker rooms, dealing with unwanted attention, and managing discomfort while binding—often feeling like I was alone in this journey. Now, I’m committed to helping others who are experiencing similar struggles. I’m here to provide support, share my insights, and assist you in achieving your fitness goals. Together, we can address dysphoria and work towards becoming the best versions of ourselves.
